David Coomes

Hello! My name is David Coomes. I was born and raised near the beaches of San Diego, CA, but now live in Washington state with my lovely wife Debi, and dog, Oscar. I also have one daughter, Katelyn, along with her husband, and my two grandchildren who live close by.

I released my first music album, BREAD & JAM, back in July 2024 (Bucket List Item #1 ✔️) The album has eight original God-given songs that bring glory and honor, worship and praise to our Lord in Heaven. This bluesy, Gospel, southern rock style album has been called energetic, fun, and lively - with a strong Gospel Message - music that brings HOSANNA into the voices of all who will hear. I started studying and playing the piano at an early age and began playing the guitar in my mid-teens. With my early start in music, I developed a strong ear for playing all types of music. My father was an accomplished classical pianist who played every evening in our home. His playing allowed me to hear and experience the power and feel for all the different styles he enjoyed - especially the hymns of the church, which were extremely moving to me. The God-inspired music and lyrics of the early hymns really grabbed ahold of my inner soul which allowed me to express and create my own take on the music God has gifted me with. The song lyrics were birthed from my lifelong Bible study and knowledge of the Gospel Message, as well as the importance of praise and worship within our daily lives.
