LIGHT OF MY DAY came together fairly quickly!
I was leisurely walking on a sunny June afternoon and noticed the brightness of the sun as I came around a bend during my travel. The sun hit my face, and the warmth of the sun quickly surrounded my shoulders while I was conversing with the Lord - which is a normal routine for me during my afternoon walks. I began to think, as I looked toward the radiance of the sun, how much the Lord surrounds me with His Light and His warmth - always making my life that much brighter, no matter how I'm feeling at the time. From this thought, words began to flow into a beautiful pre-chorus that was already completed and I instantly started singing to it. The song became a musical description of what I was experiencing at that moment:

🎶 Radiant shine, Your glory reigns,
The SON is out ‘cause you’re the Light of my Day 🎶

That's all it took - and once I finished the lyrics, it was just a moment of time till the entire song was complete.
Since then, Light of my Day has been on a constant loop in my mind - but WOW! what a way to start your day - singing the song to the Lord and giving Him ALL the glory!
This is a fun, dynamic, energetic song to sing, as the background vocals were worked into more of a musical crowd chant during the powerful chorus. Lead vocalist, Ethan Cronin really nailed the verses with his bluesy, Gospel tone - along with that uplifting bridge.
